Comfortable beds and a kitchen with full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, utensils, and washing machine were in the apartment which was larger than most similar European flats. The host Davide personally met us at the front door, showed us around the flat, prepared an individualized parking permit for street parking nearby, and left wine and chocolates as a surprise. The location was central in St. Georg near Lake Alster with many restaurants and bars just around the corner, Hamburg central train station was a 10-minute walk away.
